Wayne A. Barcomb, 83, of Boston died Oct. 26 after an eight-year battle with mixed dementia.
He wrote freelance book reviews for the Boston Herald and theater reviews for The Patriot Ledger of Quincy, Mass.
After military service, he began a long career in college textbook publishing in Boston.
He wrote four novels.
He leaves his wife, Susan; three children, Scott, Melissa and David; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother.
