Jason Willick, editorial writer with The Wall Street Journal, discusses his recent opinion piece headlined, “Speech and Sedition in 2021,” which warns against “viewpoint suppression” of various media outlets in the wake of the Donald Trump presidency.

In the piece, Willick writes that “journalists, intellectuals and Democrats … increasingly see domestic enemies wherever they look, and are devising ways to use levers of power to restrict, regulate and boycott opposition.”

He adds, “It’s an extraordinary and ominous turn in our democracy.”

Willick joined The Wall Street Journal in 2017 and prior to that was an associate editor at The American Interest. In 2014, he co-founded and edited the Stanford Political Journal, which closely followed the campus culture wars.
