Al Getler, Vice President Sales and Business Development for Advantage Newspaper Consultants has been in the newspaper and website publishing business for over 30 years. He began his newspaper career in New Jersey and has gone on to serve as an award-winning president and publisher in newspapers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio and Vermont. In addition to his experience as a publisher, Al has a deep newspaper background in all aspects of newspaper publishing including editorial, advertising, circulation and marketing.
Shawn Palmer is Publisher of Newspaper of New England’s operations in Western MA. He joined NNE in January 2021 after serving as Chief Revenue Officer at The Day in New London, CT. From 2013-2019 Shawn was SVP, Chief Revenue Officer at RJ Media Group, publisher of the Record-Journal in Meriden, CT. He also served as General Manager of The Westerly Sun and launched Homebase Digital, a digital marketing agency in Central CT and Southern RI. Prior to RJ Media, Shawn was Publisher of The News-Times in Danbury, CT from 2010 to 2013.
