You and your colleagues are invited to join a free, award-winning Election Cybersecurity Workshop for CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, and VT – on Thursday, October 7th from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Eastern daylight time. Please feel free to share this invitation with your friends and colleagues!
The USC Election Cybersecurity Initiative is a nonpartisan independent project to help protect U.S. campaigns and elections, made possible by generous support from Google. In 2020, starting with an inaugural workshop in Maryland, we presented election cybersecurity workshops for each of the 50 states – most virtually because of the pandemic. The majority of our survey respondents said they have changed their habits (e.g. changed their password to a more complicated one and adopted two-factor authentication) after attending our workshop.
In 2021, cybersecurity threats have evolved, disinformation is growing, and tools to address both challenges have changed. We are coming to your states with our presentations and free cybersecurity information features, all delivered by video and online.
The workshop will include a new 2021 guide to free cybersecurity resources from government and industry officials, as well as updated security tips for campaigns, election workers, academics and others on topics including cybersecurity and cyber safety, disinformation and misinformation, and crisis response. And new for 2021, our workshops will have live briefings from Washington DC on foreign threats to U.S. elections.
Also, we will provide you with a Recognition of Attendance for you to bring back to your organization to let them know that you have taken this workshop (please see more details when you see the option to request it on the registration form below).
This workshop is free and open to the public. To register, please click the RSVP link at https://uscseventhregional.
